There are distinct differences within the Norman and Malla article with regard to both structure and detail when compared to the guideline illustrated in Burton. This section could have flowed a lot better if several things were referred to rather than being in the body of the text. †¢ The questionnaire could have been placed in an appendix where it could be referred to rather than each question being written into the body of the article. †¢ The description of the three types of behaviours (Paranoid Schizophrenic, Personality Disorder and Healthy) could also have been placed in the appendix. †¢ It would have been helpful if the vignettes themselves were explained in a little more detail in an appendix that could have been referred to. †¢ According to Burton, the method section should contain three subsections: Participants, Materials, and Procedure. The Norman and Malla article is lacking a Materials section. It is in this section that an explanation of the questionnaire would be better suited. †¢ The results seemed to creep into the Method section and would have been better left until the Results section.
